10 Inches Long.....
The day before my bday extravaganza @ the Bellagio, (which I still have to blog about) I have planned to do a little make over. It's been high time for it.
Been needing it badly.
So i booked a salon appointment in Hell's Kitchen for that much needed change!

Kiki my stylist, was soooo delighted to see me. It's been a long while since my last visit.
My hair grew sooooo tremendously long that doing a simple pony tail wasn't helping it. And ooooooh, the tedious maintenance of keeping my long hair was getting into me.
He asked me what syle I wanted....For a moment I got toooo close of just saying "cut it all off!" but I held back and listened for his suggestions.
He asked me what I thought of cutting all 10 inches of my gorgeous, dark and luscious hair? Hahahaha.
I said SURE! Then he said, that if he do cut 10 inches of my hair, I just reached the minimum requirement in donating hair to Locks of Love.
Locks of Love?
From the website: http://www.locksoflove.org/

Locks of Love is a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children under age 18 suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis. We meet a unique need for children by using donated hair to create the highest quality hair prosthetics.
Our mission is to return a sense of self, confidence and normalcy to children suffering from hair loss by utilizing donated ponytails to provide the highest quality hair prosthetics to financially disadvantaged children.
I was amazed! Kiki just made my makeover sooo memorable, helpful and beautiful. So he did give me a nice makeover.
A makeover with a purpose (very Miss World! Simply touching).
This was me with all that hair I've been sporting for a while.

then take 10 inches of hair:
the new me:

I am blessed with sooo much hair that I didn't mind the not so drastic hair change.
Im sure in 3 days, I will get that 10 inches of hair back again. Hahaha!
And here are some people that have helped the organization:

New Zealand-born actor Russell Crowe is to donate his hair to a charity that provides wigs to young cancer patients.

Katie Couric trimmed off 10 inches of Ann Curry’s hair for Locks Of Love on the “Today Show”.

Supermodel Cindy Crawford is giving a lucky guy and gal the chance to hang with her at the Remington "Everyday is a Runway" style event at ABC Studios in Times Square
The eBay auction benefits the "Locks of Love" organization that provides hair pieces for financially disadvantaged children suffering from long-term medical hair loss. So you get to hang with a stunning supermodel and, all the while, help needy kids -- now that's something everyone could aspire to.
And the newest addition: My 10 inches of hair! Hahahaha.

Got extra hair?!?!
