Matthew Williamson + H&M

His second collection for H&M was launched last week. And this time around, he also launched his very first collection for men.

I actually went to check it out. Tho I was prepared to see a massive crowd early in the a.m., I told myself that if it went too crazy, I wasn't gonna even bother.

Part of my strategy was to avoid their flagship on 5th Avenue, coz I know it will be really packed.

By the time I got to the store by 34th and 7th, I still had enough time and didn't really wanna bother falling in line. My goal was to just check it out once the store opens.

So I headed to Starbucks and grabbed me some caramel frap!

And to do some people watching as they joined the early Manhattan rush, rush, rush!

I even had the chance to see the naked cowboy at it again!

and some Duane Reade guy giving away empty plastic bag with dicount goodies inside such as:

By 9 am, I headed back to the store and saw people going in the store.....It's open!

As expected, the women's department got a lil crazy and were just snatchin pretty much everything in sight from the collection.

I calmly asked: "Where's the men's department?" And quietly went on my way.

Nada craziness @ the men's department. Thank goodness for that. I would have to say, prolly that the men aren't as much into his collection or simply doesn't know Matthew Williamson. Oh well.

A couple of days ago, I have checked on-line which ones I kinda like under his collection so I had an idea what to look for.

Some detailed sports jacket with matching pants, a tee and the sneakers.

Sneakers! That, I was gonna get for my dear friend who's seriously in need of shoes intervention. Addiction! Hahaha.

So I got me the suit  that will be added to my summer ensemble. Oh! I got a gray tee for my friend as well.

To my surprise, they didn't carry the sneakers in that store.

Good thing, my strategy was almost perfect coz there is another store just a block away.

34th and 6th.

Got to that other store and they had it!

Checked out and Gone!

Total experience: painless and un-chaotic.

I swear, the sneakers kinda resembled the same Lanvin design that the First Lady wore just recently that got a lot of thumbs up!

And my new summer suit ensem....Kinda liked the piping of colorful detail around the collar, all the way to the lapel and some in the sleeve ends.
