Help Is On The Way.....
If some of you didn't know, MY REPUBLIC was recently hit not by ONE but TWO devastating typhoons. Ketsana and Parma.
The country is not a stranger to heavy rainfall and typhoons.But this one was a shocker!
Lots of lives lost. Lots of houses and other infrastructures damaged. MY REPUBLIC is still needing a lot of help.
As if the typhoons weren't bad enough, the after effect is even worse. The clean up and the hard start of building it up again.
So a friend was kind enough to turn his birthday bash into a fundraising event.
It was last Saturday that my friends and I attended the event.
The event was held at @ a lounge bar called PS450 on Park Avenue. It was a great party having it served with a purpose and meet new people. Gawd knows it's been a while since I have been out drinking. It was a good time.
A lot of people showed up for support and one of the handlers of the event said that we did pretty good in raising a good amount to help the victims.
I hope in our very little way, we were able to contribute help.
At the party, pins were distributed to show the love and support: New York Loves Manila.
Our thoughts and sympathy to all the victims back home.
