Boston
Beantown
The megabus took us to Boston aka Beantown.
It's been ages since I have been to this cute city. And this time, I was able to reminisce and discover a lot more this city has to offer.
Boston is such a great city. It's got its own character. Not pretentious. Laid back, active, thriving and booming. People are nice and really friendly. Such a good getaway not far away from home.

And finally had the chance to experience this hotel deal which my good friend got via the internet. It was quite well worth it!
The Copley Square Hotel

This boutique hotel was really cute. Elegant, chic and very comfy. I have always been a big fan of botique hotels. More character and personal.
Looking around the hotel, I enjoyed these:

Everyday after sun down, wine tasting in lobby and was just perfect to chill out and spend some chit-chat time.

Hallways are plastered by this printed wallpaper with words appropriate to Boston's historical past.
And how can you resist this shiny disco balls elegantly hanging on the ceiling lobby.

It was a beautiful weekend, people were just out and about.

And Boston is not all about history and great ancient buildings as well:

Modern too baby!

And a good sign that your hotel is really worth staying at? If you just don't wanna go elsewhere for breakfast or any meal of the day or night. In this case, we settled and got really satisfied at Xhale, the hotel restaurant. I swear, the chopped potatoes were really super delish!

Couldn't help but enjoy the great day outside and admire this view.

History 101 anyone? :This public library is the very first in the entire United States!

Of course, what is a trip without satisfying some discriminating taste.....

What's even cooler, when I got back to MY NEW YORK and attended a birthday party, I told some friends and people in the party about my Beantown trip.
Then one of the guest told me about her trip to Boston during her first few years in America. And then what? She friggin stayed in the same hotel I stayed in! Hahaha...But she said it was really old looking then but it was located in the smack center to everything.

So I told her I stayed in that same hotel and celebrated its 118 years in business...Fully renovated and more chic!
So when you get a chance, hit Beantown. It's worth it!
Am I gonna come back? You betcha!

You Simply Can't Say NO To This One....
So I got an email from a friend.
In it, was a weekend hotel reservation and an invite. "Go??"
I read the hotel reservation:

Number of Guests: 2
Number of rooms: 1

Rate Type: Birthday Celebration
But what caught my attention was this:
Room Total: $36.00
Taxes: $4.48
Itenerary Total: $40.48 for 2 nights

$40.48!!!!!! For 2 nights!
Then I remembered this blog that I read a few days ago. About this hotel in Boston that is celebrating its 118 years in the business. As part of the grand celebration, they offered for 1 day only, for 118 minutes, people can book the celebration package for a crazy $18 bucks a nite!
$18 bucks!

Free WiFi? You betcha!
When I first read the blog, I didn't really pay no mind to it. I don't think I'd be able to deal with internet flooding and crashing while trying to book the deal.
Well, what do you know, my friend actually managed to go thru with it and got us an instant weekend getaway to Boston.
Again, for $40.48! A 2 night stay.
