Cancer
DVR Rocks!
During my day off, I decided to check out the contents of my DVR and see what show I have missed. It is such a great thing to have a DVR.

Now, I do not have to devote my precious time on tv when a particular show will be aired. The show will be there when I need it! Best, I get to forward, rewind and pause it too. It is all on my demand!
So as I browsed my long list of recorded shows, I saw Dateline. NBC 4. I enjoy that show. At least most of it.
Dateline story: "An FBI agent makes a deal with a gangster". Sounds good to me.
So I hit PLAY. But then, I noticed they changed it. And realized that they were doing a special feature about Farrah Fawcett.
My DVR night got even more interesting.

The story was called "Farrah's Story". A documentary that chronicled Farrah's struggle and fight to cancer.
What a heartbreaking but inspiring story. Her good friend followed her as she went through her life dealing with cancer.
The documentary showed the many, many trips to Germany for her treatment, to showing all the medications that she takes every single day, her never ending hope of finding cure, the tremendous support of her family and friends, the agony and pain, her commitment to stay alive and never surrender, up to the point they showed her losing her most famous hair.

When she died, I sorta heard some people being upset due to the fact that her death was over shadowed by the publicity of Michael Jackson's death. After watching that documentary, I do feel she was indeed overshadowed by Michael Jackson's death publicity and popularity.
Do not get me wrong, I really feel bad for both of them passing away. I pray for their souls in peace.
But after seeing what Farrah Fawcett went through, her constant struggle and thirst to live, it moved me.

Towards the end of the documentary, you can hear Farrah Fawcett asking: "How are you? What are you fighting for?"
Seriously gave me the chills and goosebumps up to my spine!
Here's a lil preview to "Farrah's Story"
